Executive Summary

Persona 360 is an AI-centric CDP aimed at turning customer data into reliable, actionable insights. Even though this was my first real product design project ever, I stepped in after a handover and worked as the sole product designer. My scope covered research with internal and external users, UX flows, UI design, and systemizing the product so it could move faster. Within the constraints and timelines, I delivered improvements to navigation and insight analysis, documented flows, and a Material-UI–based component set. Further feature work on the project was stopped, so my delivered work serves as the last completed state.

The challenge

Powerful data. High cognitive load. Navigation was inconsistent and insights were hard to read, especially for non-technical users. As the only designer, I had to unify the product, lower complexity, and set up a lightweight design process while staying hands-on.

Making AI Understandable

I reframed dense analytics into human-readable insights: • A headline that states the finding. • A short rationale — why it matters. • A clear next step — what to do now. • Progressive detail for advanced users. This shifted the experience from “staring at charts” to acting on insights.

The design process

I iterated sketch → wireframe → high-fidelity prototype, keeping decisions visible and documented. Each loop ended with a short udability testing and review across product, engineering, and data science to align feasibility and value.

To move faster, I hosted short Figma sessions for non-designers, so product and data teams could sketch ideas directly and reduce back-and-forth.

Research & Validation

I ran interviews and prototype walkthroughs with internal and external users. Creating a research repository, documenting the interviews and translating the findings to design.

What I delivered

I wrapped my contribution with clearer navigation, lower-load insight views, documented user flows, interactive prototypes, and a component set built on MUI. The improvements were handed off and implemented.
